One of Malayalam cinema’s defining actors, on screen from Sakshyam (1995) and a lead by Sallapam (1996), then away from film for about fifteen years before returning with How Old Are You? (2014). She has a National Film Award, a Kerala State Best Actress award and seven Filmfare Awards South, and works in Malayalam and Tamil. Her off-duty dressing is the reason she keeps turning up on pages like this one: strong flat colour, clean tailoring, one piece of sculptural gold, and almost nothing else.
