A sleeveless floor-length blue-and-white resist-dyed maxi with a fitted bodice running into a full gathered skirt — the same colourway, the same fabric family and the same overall shape as the screen dress, which is as close as the high street gets to a piece nobody has put a name to. Three differences worth knowing before you buy. Hers has a plain high jewel neck with no trim at all, where this one has a V-neck with a curved overlap panel edged in gold lace. Hers drops the waist seam right down to the hip and box-pleats the skirt off that low yoke — this one is an empire waist, seamed just under the bust, which is the single biggest change to the silhouette. And hers is a sharp white branching crackle over solid cobalt that grades to a mostly-white skirt, where this is softer cloudy banding in an even mid-blue all the way down. If you want the screen line, take it to a tailor and have the waist seam dropped; everything else is already there.
