If ₹18,990 is more than you want to spend on one pair of shoes, this is the one we would buy instead, and the reason is the sole. We went through five categories of white sneakers on the high street and this is the only one built on a midsole with hollow pods cut through it — which is the entire visual signature of the Cloudtilt. Everything else at this price has a solid slab of foam and reads as a different shoe from across a room. Puma’s Softride foam is doing the same job as On’s CloudTec, and the shoe is sold on the same all-day-comfort promise. Two honest differences: this is all white, so it misses the black lace cage and black collar that give his pair their contrast, and Puma’s cutouts are round holes where On’s are scalloped waves. Lace it with black laces and it closes most of the gap.
