The Megham Karukatha white shirt and loose black tie

This is office wear worn at the end of a very long night, and that is the whole idea of it. Pazham spends "Megham Karukatha" on wet streets in a plain white shirt and a black tie that has been dragged loose and left that way — the knot slack, the top button undone, the tie hanging long down the front. Nothing about it is neat, and none of it is meant to be.

The shirt is plain white cotton, long-sleeved, with a soft spread collar and no chest pocket. It is tucked in and it stays tucked in, but the sleeves move around a lot: in some shots they are rolled back to just below the elbow, in others they are down and buttoned at the cuff. Regular cut, nothing slim about it.

The tie is the part people actually copy. Plain black, no pattern, and narrow — a skinny tie rather than a business one. It is never once done up properly.

The trousers are dark and flat-fronted, straight through the leg, with no cargo pockets and no denim stitching. Charcoal, close to black. The belt is plain black leather with a simple squared metal buckle, and it is clearly visible whenever the shirt pulls tight.

One honest warning about all of this. The entire number is graded hard in magenta and cyan, and under that light the white shirt reads pale blue in some shots and pink in others, while the trousers can look almost powder blue. The colours above were read only from the frames where the key light is closest to neutral, and each one was checked across several different set-ups before being written down. If you have watched the song and remember it differently, that is the grade, not the wardrobe.

His shoes are not listed. This is a night shoot on wet roads, framed either from the waist up or in wide moving shots, and his feet never get a clean frame anywhere in it.
