Ivory tree-of-life printed lehenga with blouse
Lookalike of the piece Isha Ambani wore.
Listed by 4 sellers
An ivory skirt printed all over in brick red and deep blue, with thread work on top. At a glance it has the same colours on the same ground as hers, which almost nothing else on sale does: most “Kalamkari” lehengas are sparse, pastel or dark-ground. The honest differences: her skirt is figurative, Krishna and the gopis, where this is flowers, palm trees and parrots; her painting is worked over with zari and mirrors, where this is a print with light thread work. The blouse is a pale sleeveless one, nothing like her olive-and-gold tasselled choli. It comes with a net dupatta, which she did without.
