Of everything on the high street this is the one that reads right from across a room, because it gets the two things that actually define the look: the ground is properly white rather than the cream or champagne most kasavu sarees settle for, and the gold border is thin. Myntra lists it as solid with a zari border and nothing else, and it comes with its own unstitched blouse piece, so like the original it is a single purchase. Two differences worth knowing. It is a cotton blend, not silk-linen — it will sit flatter and matter, without the faint sheen the original picks up in raking light. And its zari band is plain flat gold, where hers has a small star motif woven into it; at conversational distance you will not see the difference, in a close photograph you will.
