One of the few actresses in Indian cinema who carries a film on her name alone, across Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam since the mid-2000s. Her costuming leans plain and grown-up: solid colours, uncluttered drapes, very little jewellery. It is a wardrobe built to be looked at rather than decoded, which is exactly why so much of it is wearable off screen.
