The upper of the two bangles on her right wrist. Solid polished 14K yellow gold with no stones at all, cut in a wave so the band swells at the sides and dips across the back of the wrist. It is the piece that keeps the whole look from tipping into bridal: against a plain kasavu, one heavy unbroken piece of gold reads as jewellery, where two more diamond lines would have read as a set. Matched against the store’s own photography, the dip falls in exactly the same place.
