Ivory gold-check kasavu tissue saree
Lookalike of the piece Genelia D’Souza wore.
Listed by 4 sellers
The closest thing on the high street to the saree on camera, and it is close on all four of the things that matter: an ivory tissue ground rather than a cotton one, a gold-zari windowpane check woven into it rather than printed on, a broad flat plain gold kasavu border, and no contrast colour anywhere. That last point is what ruled out most of the field — a great many "checked kasavu" sarees carry a red, green or pink band at the pallu end, and the screen saree carries none. Two differences to know before you buy: the squares in the screen check are a little larger and more open than these, and this saree finishes in gold tassels at the pallu end where the screen one shows a plain woven selvedge. It comes with a matching checked blouse piece, which is worth knowing — see the blouse below.
We do not sell this piece. Every link goes to the seller’s own site, where the price and stock are decided. This is a lookalike, not the garment worn on screen.
