The sky-blue heart-print shirt

This one is not a costume. Mammootty walks out of a shopfront into a crowd of phones, waves, and that is the whole occasion — an appearance, not a scene. We have not named the event, because we could not confirm which one it was, and a guessed event on a real person's page is the same mistake as a guessed label.

The shirt is the entire look. It is a soft cotton poplin, natural white, printed all over with pale sky-blue hearts — solid hearts, roughly the size of a thumbnail, sitting in a regular offset grid rather than tossed at random. Look closely at the chest and a small letter A is set inside some of the hearts. That is AMI Paris's Ami de Coeur, the house's own mark, and it is what identifies the shirt rather than any label you can see in the footage.

The cut is boxy and generous — the body hangs straight and wide from the shoulder with no waist shaping at all, which is exactly why it reads as expensive rather than as a holiday shirt. It has a patch pocket at the left chest, tonal cream four-hole buttons, and long sleeves that he has rolled into a deep cuff sitting just below the elbow. He wears it fully untucked and open at the neck, two or three buttons down, so the collar gives up and lies flat against the chest.

Under it are plain trousers in a warm ivory — cream rather than white, smooth flat-woven cotton with no visible texture or slub, cut straight and easy through the leg. Nothing else about them is on show. The shirt covers the waistband, and the crowd covers the hem.

On the brand, and this is the unusual part for an appearance: it really is AMI Paris. The clip we read this from is a price-check repost, and it cuts a retailer's live listing into the edit — AMI, marked down to $295 from $445, and sold out. We did not take that on trust. The Ami de Coeur monogram is visible in our own close crop of the chest, AMI publishes this print in this exact colourway under the name Sky Blue / Natural White, and AMI's current heart shirts sit in the same $380–$450 band. So: roughly ₹39,000 at list, and you cannot buy it anyway. That is the number our picks below are standing next to.

Two things are deliberately missing from the list. His shoes never appear — phones, a press camera and the crowd cover his feet in every frame there is. And the sunglasses, the watch, the thin gold chain and the ring are all unnameable at this resolution, so none of them has been guessed at.
